M/Y RADIANT

PROJECT DATE: 2013 REFIT
LENGTH: 110m
BUILDER: LÜRSSEN YACHTS
EXTERIOR: TIM HEYWOOD DESIGN
INTERIOR: GLEN PUSHELBURG

Not long after the success of the lighting design for Pelorus refit, Aqualuce was invited to revise lighting of her sister yacht Radiant. The refit works and lighting overview were even more extensive than that of Pelorus’. In addition, the lighting was supposed to give an important statement of the boat during the night-time.

The Mast Definition was almost a project itself; it represented a challenging engineering exercise and development of a custom solution. The overall results were incredible. The lighting has been used to define important profile elements, transform the perception of the boat at night-time via lighting control, balance the detailing and even correct visually the symmetry of design elements. A truly incredible design experience for a lighting designer.
Aqualuce was responsible for Exterior lighting design and control, project management, procurement and commissioning.
