M/Y margaux rose
PROJECT DATE: 2006
LENGTH: 49m
BUILDER: FR SCHWEERS
EXTERIOR: GERHARD GILGENAST
INTERIOR: JOHN MUNFORD DESIGN
The first marine lighting project of Aqualuce’s founder, John Roberts, was M/Y Margaux Rose – the first true example of an expedition yacht.
Designed for Gianni Agnelli, she was launched in 1986 in great style – with a hot air balloon rising from the bespoke fore deck and a helicopter landing area on the H of her helipad.
With a unique specification and general arrangement, she represented the new class of yacht specifically built for voyaging the world in safety, comfort, and luxury.
Aqualuce was responsible for the overall lighting scheme for both the interior and exterior areas as well as the control, for the new built and later during refit works in 2006.
Other names: Shandor, Louisiana, The Griff, The Mercy Boys
